BASED IN PUNAKAIKI ON THE WEST COAST OF AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND, Mud and Stone Studios is the creative home of stone artist Scott Taylor and ceramic artist Karma Taylor. Our work encompasses contemporary handmade jewellery, sculptural art, and functional objects crafted from clay and hard stone. KARMA TAYLOR—CERAMIC ARTIST at Mud and Stone Studios. Born and raised in Sweden, Karma blends Scandinavian minimalism with a hint of mid-century retro in her designs. Each piece is handmade and crafted with meticulous attention to detail. She values clean lines, bold shapes and deep colours, aiming for a simple yet beautiful aesthetic.

SCOTT TAYLOR—STONE ARTIST at Mud and Stone Studios. Scott creates beautiful hand-carved jewellery and sculptural work using pounamu and various other hard stones. His designs emphasise symmetry and simplicity, showcasing his commitment to clean, uncomplicated forms. A passion for science fiction and Kiwi engineering inspires his artistic expression.
