FAQ
All our products are handmade, as such, modest variations and slight imperfections are what make each piece unique. There are many variables in the process of carving stone and in the making of ceramics that affect the final result. These variations are what make your new piece truly unique.
Please note: Items in a series are very similar, but may not be identical due to the nature of being handmade. If the item pictured in the shop is not the actual item you will receive, perhaps it represents an item in a series, this will be clearly stated in the listing.
All our products are handmade by us right here in our studio on Te Tai o Poutini West Coast of the South Island in beautiful Aotearoa New Zealand. We strive to source materials locally too, whenever possible.
Our online shop is COMING SOON and will always be open, but availability varies between shop updates. Some items are generally made to order, production times for these vary but are clearly stated in each listing.
We are very excited to be partnering with select shops and galleries who carry a limited collection of our work. For a complete list, please visit the STOCKISTS page
We also set up shop at markets a few times a year. We hope to see you there!

We are a small batch studio and typically restock the online store at the end of a production cycle. Due to the variety of work we do, it is impossible to commit to a regular schedule. If you are looking for something in particular that is listed as sold out, please reach out, and we’ll see what we can do.

We use materials that can be easily recycled. For example, our packing peanuts are made from starch, which can be composted, recycled or dissolved in water. We opt for sustainably sourced honeycomb paper instead of traditional plastic bubble wrap when a bit of extra padding is needed.
We source recycled or repurposed materials whenever possible.
While all our functional ware is dishwasher safe, we recommend washing them by hand to make them last and look their best for longer. Use warm, soapy water and a soft sponge or cloth.
All stone is porous, so we recommend oiling your piece if you notice any dry spots. If you wear it next to your skin, this occurs naturally, or you can rub the stone on the back of your neck for a few moments. Alternatively, rub it with a light, odourless oil (we like castor oil) and wipe away any excess after letting it soak for a few minutes.
All measurements are metric.
Jewellery is usually measured by its longest side (length) unless otherwise noted.
The capacity of a vessel is measured when filled to the rim. The actual capacity may vary slightly due to being handmade.
